Radiant heating is available in different forms, 'U' tube, single linear tubes, double linear tubes, continuous tube systems (Nor-Ray-Vac) etc., in a wide range of outputs, each to suit particular applications.
The radiant heater warms all solid objects and surfaces in its path. They are mounted overhead and produce infra red radiant heat that is directed downward by a reflector. The infra red heat passes through the air without heating it and falls on people, floors and equipment below creating a comfortable all-round radiant warmth at low level without having to heat the whole volume of the building or roof space.
Radiant heating is particularly efficient reducing running costs, it provides rapid heating up times, systems can easily be zone controlled. They are particularly effective in garage workshops, factories, sports halls, aircraft hangers etc. |
