We’ve all been there. Stuck in an airport, waiting for a flight, and then there’s the dreaded announcement. Flight delays.
There can be a host of reasons for such inconveniences, but one of the more common factors is a technical problem with the aircraft. As we sit and ponder, it rarely occurs to us to wonder – assuming that some part deep within the workings of the aircraft has gone wrong – from where the replacement part is sourced.
What do the engineers do when their ‘plane goes wrong? Ring the AA?
No, they go on an international database which, to put it simply, catalogues every one of the millions of parts for all the world’s aircraft, and tells them where that part is located.
And Avtrade, situated in Albourne, West Sussex may well come up on that database. They stock a vast range of Boeing, Lockheed, Airbus and British Aerospace parts, and being a few miles to the south of Gatwick Airport, are well placed to deliver or fly out any such parts as may be required.
As you would imagine, such an operation requires a slightly more sophisticated environment than the stores at you local garage, with a very exact specification for temperate and humidity levels. So we at Independent Heating were pleased to be invited to tender for heating, air conditioning and humidity control at their new depot – both the stores and their impressive new office accomodation. The exacting requirements were peculiar to their needs, and so we were proud to be granted the contract and subsequently to install the systems with the minimum of fuss or problem.

Plumbing works
• Supply install water main from incoming supply to building to all sinks, toilets, showers and fridge.
• Supply and install Twyford Bushboard Baseline ready plumbed modules to two male, two female and one visitors/disabled toilet.
• Combining ready plumbed and finished panels in Oasis, Lapis and Steam (colour) and Galerie Design sanitaryware.
